Children showing signs of symptoms:
Please follow this guidance when deciding whether to send your child to the Academy today and for the foreseeable future. The health and welfare of our children remains our top priority.

The latest advice is that if students are showing the following common symptoms of Coronavirus:
-A new continuous cough
-And / or a high temperature

They should self-isolate, however mild the symptoms, for a period of 14 days. If anyone else in the household shows symptoms of the Coronavirus disease, then the entire household should self-isolate for 14 days.

You do not need to call NHS 111 to go into self-isolation. Do not visit a GP surgery, pharmacy, or hospital. If a child becomes unwell whilst at the academy, they will be isolated and we will contact parents / carers to collect them.

Distance Learning is being planned for students who have to self-isolate.

Public Health England recommends that the following general cold and flu precautions are taken to help prevent people from catching and spreading COVID-19:
-Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze. Catch it, Bin it, Kill it.
-Put used tissues in the bin straight away.
-Wash your hands with soap and water often – use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available. See the hand washing guidance video above.
-Try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell.
-Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
-Do not touch your eyes, nose, or mouth if your hands are not clean.
