Manchester United Trip
On Thursday 29th September some children were taken to watch a Europa League football match between Manchester United and Zorya Luhansk. The trip was thoroughly enjoyable and all of the children had a fantastic time. Our children were lucky enough to be witness players such as Pogba, Ibrahimović and Rooney in the entertaining tie that ended in a United victory.
This year’s Cross Country season began in September and is now at its seasonal winter break. In the Longton District the children have competed in four races at various High School venues in some torrential conditions. At the half way point our teams are in very healthy positions in the team standings. The girls are in Year 4,5 and 6 are currently topping the leader board and they boys are in 3rd place, ready for the second half of the season to commence later in the new year.
In the North Stoke Competition our children really excelled themselves with some superb displays of determination at a difficult Haywood Academy. Five out of eight teams qualified for the county finals in the new year, with some children perfoming excellently individually.
