Teaching Assistants: Mrs Simpson
Classroom Support: Mrs Watson
Class 3B has 32 wonderful children along with their teacher Mrs Bradshaw who cares for us all every day, and who often says we are little noisy, but that’s because we are such eager learners – we love to talk about our work and learning! Also in Class 3B, we have our two fantastic teaching assistants, Mrs Simpson and Mrs Watson who we couldn’t cope without!
We would like to share some information with you about life in 3B.
3B is an exciting learning environment to be in where you will always find us working very hard. Our teachers have very high expectations which motivate us to achieve our best. In Class 3B we are a team who always work together to achieve our very best.
During the Autumn Term our topics are ‘Why are humans animals to?’ and ‘Set in Stone’. We will enjoy learning about many different things within these subjects including learning about the role of skeleton in Science and all about life in the Stone Age in History.
During the Spring Term, our topics will be ‘Art on the Doorstep’ and ‘Around the World in 20 days’. During this term. We’ll be going to Gladstone Pottery Museum to learn more about the local artist Clarice Cliff.
Our final topics during the Summer Term will be ‘From Source to Sea and ‘What did the Romans do for us’. These topics will enable us to use a lot of our Geography and History skills.
In English, we use many different texts throughout the year to enhance and support our learning. Some we will be using this year include: The Three Billy Goats Gruff, The Twits and The Tunnel. We will read a lot during our time at school as well as at home with our families.
On a Fridays, we have Music with specialist our specialist music teacher, Mr Chubb, which we really enjoy and develop our musical skills. On a Wednesday, we have PE with our PE specialists, Mr Bell – he teaches us many different sports including dodge ball, football and dance. It’s one of our favourite lessons of the week! On a Thursday, we have our weekly timetables test – we love completing our timetables tests and aiming to beat our score so that we can move further along the rainbow.
As a class, we experience lots of different lessons and we get to learn in many different ways. We always work hard and our teachers award us with house points, certificates and marbles. The table with the most marbles on a Friday wins a prize – we love finding out who has won! On a Friday, we also have an attendance award for a boy and girl in our class. If you have been in school or week and your name is picked from the box you will win a treat from Mrs Bradshaw.
Our school values are really important to each of us, and we always strive to demonstrate them to show that we are true Eaton Park People.
We hope you have enjoyed meeting us and we hope you can see how fantastic life and learning is in 3B!
